- Yeast (3g)
- Jam Mix (sweet cinnamon filling, approx. 12g per pancake)
What You’ll Need:
- For Hotteok: Warm water (40–45°C, 180ml), cooking oil, mixing bowl, frying pan, spoon, spatula, pressing tool or turner
- For Cinnamon Rolls & Hotteok Bites: Warm water (160ml), cooking oil (20ml or 3–4 tablespoons), spoon, rolling pin (for rolls), air fryer
Cooking Instructions:
[Sweet Rice Hotteok]
- Make the Dough:Add yeast to 180ml of warm water and mix well. Add the hotteok mix and stir with a spatula for 5 minutes. Shape the dough into a ball in the bowl.
- Shape and Fill: Lightly oil your hands and separate dough into 60g portions. Flatten each piece, spoon about 12g of jam mix in the center, and seal tightly so it doesn't burst.
- Pan-Fry: Preheat a frying pan on low heat. Place the sealed side down and cook until golden brown. Flip, press flat with a turner, and cook 1–2 more minutes. Flip again and cook an additional 1–2 minutes.
Use the dough on the same day. Be careful when hot—the syrup filling may be very hot.
[Cinnamon Rolls]
- Divide the dough into 100g portions. Roll each piece out flat and evenly sprinkle jam mix over it.
- Roll the dough and slice into individual rolls.
- Air fry at 180°C for 10–15 minutes until golden.
- Tip: Use flour dusting when rolling to prevent sticking.
[Hotteok Bites]
- Oil your hands and shape 50g portions of dough. Flatten and place about 7g of jam mix in the center. Seal tightly.
- Air fry at 180°C for 10–15 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Tip: For even better texture, let the dough rest at room temperature for 30–60 minutes before shaping.
Make warm, chewy Korean-style treats with ease using Ottogi Sweet Rice Hotteok Mix—perfect for snacks, dessert, or a fun family cooking day.
